From SARAL scripts to Unicode

Since there is no program available to convert SARAL scripts directly to Unicode, we have to find some indirect way to do it.

As a first step, SARAL script should be converted into Romanaagarii that uses the fonts of English ASCII. This can be done manually by typing. We may see the Romanaagarii format by using SARAL Roman fonts on any SARAL script. The text can be typed exactly as it appears in small letters of English.  However, a more convenient and efficient way of converting into Romanaagarii is by using Macros. Following is the guide for conversion from SARAL to Romanaagarii:

Any standard ASCII text can be used for converting into Hindi of Unicode. There are several programs on Internet to convert scripts into Unicode. One of the most convenient and effective program for our purpose is the Online Interface to ITRANS. It may be mentioned that ITRANS is somewhat similar to Romanaagarii. However, there are some differences that are resolved manually or by using Macros. Following is the guide for conversion from Romanaagarii to ITRANS:

The above mentioned sequence should be followed in a Macro otherwise there could be distortions. The text in ITRANS is now converted into Unicode Hindi through the Online Interface available on the following link:

The type of fonts used in Unicode depends upon the computer fonts. If there are no Unicode fonts installed, the text will be distorted. On this website, the Mangal fonts of Microsoft Windows Vista are used for writing Hindi text. Text in Hindi of Unicode may be seen in the following links:
